We are delighted to announce that we will be holding the Kurodahan Press Translation Prize again this year, awarded for excellence in translation of a selected Japanese short story into English.

The short story to be translated this year is メルクの黄金畑 by 髙樹のぶ子, and is about 15,000 characters in length.
Submissions will be accepted through October 15, 2009, Japan time.
