Speculative Japan reviewed by Strange Horizons

|

The respected British SF/horror/fantasy website, Strange Horizons, recently posted a complete review of Speculative Japan.

"This anthology... is intimidatingly generous," they begin, and launch into a very well-done discussion of Yamano's scheme for classifying Japanese science fiction, complete with references and counters. Touching on the fact that the majority of the stories are from a few decades ago, they explain why that is not necessarily a bad thing, ending with "...Speculative Japan isn't a tradition in a thimble: it's a keyhole. It would be good to open the door."

We hope you'll drop by and read the full review when you get a chance.
